On the 1st of October, H4All had the pleasure of attending the very first Age Friendly Festival, hosted by Hillingdon Council in celebration of International Day of Older Persons.
The festival brought together local organisations, community groups and residents for a day of connection, information and celebration of age-friendly initiatives across the borough. Held in Ruislip Manor Library, the event showcased the importance of creating inclusive spaces where older adults feel supported, valued and empowered.
Our team engaged with attendees and stallholders alike, offering guidance and signposting service users to essential health checks and wellbeing services. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community, share resources and raise awareness of community support.
The festival highlighted the strength of collaboration across Hillingdon and the shared commitment to making the borough a great place to grow older.
A big thank you to Ruislip Manor Library for hosting such a meaningful event. We look forward to supporting future Age Friendly initiatives and continuing to champion the wellbeing of older residents in our community.
